  1. —-Oh I love Casablanca.  I’ve got it on vhs tape unfortunately but the good thing is that when I do wear it out I’ll just get a fabulouse dvd with all the extra goodies I adore. Sometimes I go thru a dvd like it was the Zapruder film. LOL
—-My library has several dvds I’ve been watching of late, Annie Get Your Gun, specifically, and the Maltese Falcon.  Casablanca lives in my vcr and I watch it nearly every night.  It’s my bedtime story.  I need more Betty Hutton though.
    —-Looking forward to the tutoring.

  3. Aarlene - Oooh - I’m going to have to look for “Annie get your Gun”.  How about “The Greatest Show on Earth”?  I remember seeing that at the drive-in when I was a kid and wanted to be a trapeze artist for a while after that :)

  4. Barb - I don’t think I ever had the stuff until I was an adult and I just adore it.  Fresh, it’s beyond compare.  Up here it’s going for around $3.49/pound right now though it gets down to $1.99 in the spring and early summer.  I will resort to canned if necessary, but fresh is like manna from heaven :)

  5. MMMMMM asparagus.  When I was a kid we moved to a house with a bitty asparagus patch. Yum!  My commissary occasionally has frozen asparagus which beats the canned all to heck. ugh I shudder to even think of the canned. BLECH
Yeah, The Greatest Show on Earth has the Betty Hutton.  I didn’t know that til recently.  I dislike Charlton Heston tho.  I used to watch Monk til Sharona left.

  6. Aarlene - I’m not awfully fond of Heston either, though I enjoyed his performance in “True Lies”.  And while I still watch Monk, I still miss Sharona.  Think we’ll ever find out what happened there?
